Local delivery: tracking, collection and receipt checks
Find the local carrier, respond to collection notices and preserve the parcel evidence before reporting a delivery problem.

Move from the international number to the local carrier
When a parcel reaches local delivery, the tracking record may show a new carrier or local number. Save both. A logistics aggregator can help you notice a change, but use the identified carrier’s official tracking and contact channel for delivery arrangements.
If the record says a delivery attempt failed, check the address, access instructions, collection location and deadline. “Unsuccessful dispatch” is a status to investigate; it does not prove that the parcel is irretrievably lost. Ask the carrier what action is available and tell Kakobuy if an investigation is needed.

Check the collection deadline promptly
A missed delivery can become a collection task. Ask where the parcel is held, what identification is needed and whether redelivery is offered. The deadline and options belong to that carrier and shipment; there is no safe universal number of days to wait.
Keep evidence of contact attempts or incorrect delivery details. The captured insurance terms exclude some recipient-caused failures, including parcels returned or destroyed after missed collection. Prompt contact helps preserve options but does not guarantee a particular outcome.
At receipt: inspect what you can and keep the record
- Check the outer box, sealing tape and any obvious damage or unusual weight.
- Where the carrier permits it, inspect with the courier present and note a genuine problem on the delivery record. Ask about refusal or damage-report procedures rather than signing a false statement.
- Keep the box, tape, labels and damaged contents. Photograph the full parcel and the specific problem clearly.
- Compare the received contents with the order and warehouse photos. Report the precise discrepancy through the parcel’s official support channel.
The operator’s notice recommends checking in front of the courier and says normal receipt completes the forwarding process. That statement does not establish that signing extinguishes every possible claim or legal right. What matters next is the actual event, evidence, applicable terms and relevant process.
Keep the reporting windows separate
| Captured instruction | Timing stated | Practical action |
|---|---|---|
| Signing notice: local postal report | Within 2 days after signing, using the logistics delivery time. | Report immediately to the relevant carrier or post office and retain its case reference. |
| Signing notice: agent support | Within 72 hours after signing. | Contact Kakobuy promptly with photos and the parcel number; do not wait for the carrier to finish. |
| Abnormal-products guidance | Also refers to providing evidence within 2 days, plus a 72-hour issue-report instruction. | Treat the tighter instruction seriously and confirm the actual route’s current deadline. |
There is no universal “48 hours keeps every claim alive” rule. Different events, channels and policies may have separate requirements. Submit promptly, keep acknowledgements and ask for any missing evidence checklist.
Policy example: Notice of signing parcel, captured 10 October 2026. Check the applicable current terms.
Delivered status, no parcel: use two linked enquiries
First check the carrier’s delivery detail for the actual shipment: time, recipient or safe-place note, delivery photograph where offered, and any collection location. Check the household or building’s normal receiving point. A tracking status does not by itself identify who received the parcel.
Ask the identified local carrier for a trace or proof of delivery and keep its reference. Notify Kakobuy through the parcel record at the same time, with the tracking event and what you checked. Do not wait for the carrier’s investigation to finish before checking the agent’s reporting requirements.
If the carrier corrects the scan or locates the parcel, update both enquiries. If it confirms a wrong delivery or cannot locate it, keep that response for the issue record. Use verified support channels for address details; do not publish the shipping label to seek help.
